King of the Hill 2.0.0

We’re finally done with the next update for King of the Hill. You’ll definitely be please with the amount of new stuff we’ve added!

Here’s some of the highlights:

  • In-game level editor: Create & share levels
  • In-game level browser: Browse & download user-created levels
  • Retail levels: 25 levels to start with, but we’ll be adding more
  • Updated graphics
  • And much more…

We have submitted the update to both Google Play and App Store, so you’ll see the game on Google Play in less than 24 hours, and on the App Store in about a week.

We’ll keep you updated as the release progresses.

Best regards,

In-App Purchases

The last iOS release for King of the Hill (1.2.2) broke our support for in-app purchases, but we have submitted a minor update that solves this issue.

Android users: We don’t support in-app purchases just yet, but our next major update (1.3) will introduce support for this, along with the level editor.

We’re sorry for any inconveniences.

King of the Hill teaser

So the last update of King of the Hill brought small changes and a bug fix that was long overdue. We’ve heard from a lot of people, that while the game is fun, it does lack content. So currently we’re working on a huge update that hopefully will satisfy all gamers out there, and here’s a teaser:

The first image shows the basic UI of the level editor. The red path indicates how the resulting hill will look like.

The second image is the “Play” part of the level editor, where the user has the ability to try the level.

Some other planned features are more landscapes (sand, stone, mud etc. that affects the bike differently), user submitted levels (with highscores per level), 20 included levels so that you can get a hang of the bike while going other ways than up (these will of course be editable), and so on.

The actual editor is working very well even though it’s in an alpha state. But please be patient since we won’t release this until it is finished.

You are however very welcome to contact us (e-mail or twitter) if you have any ideas or other requests that you’d like to see in the game.

We’ll keep you updated with the progress here.

King of the Hill version 1.2.1

We’ve just released a minor update for iOS and Android that finally fixes the annoying Dash highscore bug.

Unfortunately we’ve had to reset all local and online Dash highscores. Furthermore, it is not possible to submit new Dash highscores until you’ve updated to the latest version.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

We’re gonna compensate you by bringing you a huge update in the coming months. Please let us know if there’s something specific you’d like to see in the update.

Android support!

Hi All,

Sorry for the long delay between posts, but we’ve been busy with work and fine-tuning the new release of K.o.t.H.

The new version includes a lot of under-the-hood changes, but the biggest one by far is full Android support. The game has been uploaded to the Play Store, but it hasn’t arrived to all server yet, so there it can’t be found a.t.m. We’ll post here as soon as it is available.

Finishing touches

We’re currently working hard with the finishing touches of our first product. We’re aiming to finish the product in a couple of hours.

To you that’s wondering what we’re developing… it’s a game. We’re introducing it first to the iOS App Store. Tightly followed by Android Market and later the Mac App Store.

We’ll keep you posted with the progress.
